Major George Augustus Wade, MB.,Bac. of Surgery, MD, FRCIS, age 56.
Born 10 October 1862 in Bray, Co Wicklow, Ireland. He qualified as MD at Dublin University in 1895 and was listed on the medical register from 7 July 1886.
George married Caroline Oram Ada Corrall ( born in Lancashire 26 June1858) at Solihull.
The 1911 census showed him living at 83 Down's Park East, Bristol, with his wife and only son who was a medical student; George was listed as retired RAMC.
He was shown living at Hillrise, Third Avenue, Teignmouth on 1919 electoral roll. This was listed as his address on the probate records granted to his widow Caroline.

Enlisting with Royal Army Medical Corps, George received his first commission on 5 February 1887 and stationed at Portsmouth; then he was commissioned Major with effect from 5 February 1889, he served with his regiment until he retired onto the Reserve List on 13 February 1907.
He died on 17 March 1919 and was buried on 20th March in Teignmouth Cemetery, Teignmouth.
